BIT-20

Our BIT-20 is a high-purity, nonionic surfactant chemically known as PEG-20 Cetyl Stearyl Ether or Ceteareth-20. It appears as a white to off-white waxy solid or paste. It is synthesized by the ethoxylation of a mixture of cetyl and stearyl alcohols, resulting in a molecule with a high hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB value of ~15.3). This high HLB makes it an excellent oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier, solubilizer, and detergent, widely used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial applications.
